What’s On: Star Stuff – Festival of the Cosmos
Australia’s leading scientists and experts in science, space, astrophysics and astrophotography are coming to Byron Bay in June for the Star Stuff Festival. Presented by Celestron, Bintel & DNA Digital this “super group” of scientists on Space, Cosmology, Astronomy, Astrophysics, Astrophotography and Science will come together for a series of keynote talks on everything from Aboriginal astronomy, space photography, and even the end of the universe.
The first festival of its kind for stargazers in Byron Bay offers a great opportunity to meet some of Australia’s biggest names and experts in science under the moonless sky and the vast Milky Way. Supported by Celestron, Bintel & DNA Digital telescopes there will be night photography workshops, demonstrations and sky tours if weather permits.
Speakers include well known TV and Radio personalities Dr Karl Kruszelnicki and Dr Alan Duffy (Swinburne) who will be hosting a VIP dinner and keynote presentation. Other speakers include Dr Katie Mack, Mark Gee, Dr David Malin, Dr Fred Watson, Dr Duane Hamacher, Gilmour Space Technology, & Dylan O’Donnell.
