Essential Eats: Folk Cafe
On the fringe of Byron Bay, off Ewingsdale Road adjacent to the entrance of a caravan park, lies a weatherboard cottage plucked straight out of the 70s. Folk prides itself on delivering a wholesome, organic, ethical, plant-based menu and presenting it like works of art. Strictly vegetarian and absolutely delicious, this hidden gem is well worth a visit and will satisfy the most discerning foodie.
The luxe hippie vibe and 70s soundtrack playing on vinyl only adds to the charm of Folk. Expect to hear The Rolling Stones’ Sex Drive and Led Zeppelin’s Stairway to Heaven as you sink into the charming décor, lush greenery, hanging plants, fresh flowers and raw timber that makes up the beautifully designed space.
Enjoy an interesting selection of ferments, elixers and herbal tonics or the consciously roasted coffee. We recommend the Folk burrito, coconut scrambled eggs and the Autumn bowl just to name a few.
Open: 7am to 2:30pm daily.
Located: 1/399 Ewingsdale Rd Byron Bay
