Byron Bay. It’s not just a destination for hippies and backpackers to amble through the streets and the mega rich to sip fine wine at the many restaurants dotted throughout the town, it’s also a great place for families to visit! There are so many things to do with kids in the summer and in the winter if you’ve never been you should definitely make this your next holiday.
Here are some of our favorite things to do for big and little kids alike..
Macadamia Castle: Everyone loves a petting zoo and Macadamia Castle’s is really interactive! Pet some baby chicks, hold a bunny and take a train ride around the park, play 18 holes of mini gold and after all that head to the café for some delicious treats…Maca Castle is renowned for it’s pancakes! Before you head off don’t forget to look around the gift shop and of course buy some freshly roasted macadamia nuts.
The Farm: Take a tour or simply relax with a coffee and let the kids play, climb, swing and slide to their hearts content! There is even a red tractor for the kids to play on!
Circus Arts: Kids love the circus! And Circus Arts Byron Bay gives everyone a chance to live the dream! The flying trapeze is so much fun, you’ll want to go more than just once to experience the thrill of flying through the air! Not for the faint hearted though!
Byron Bay Eco Cruises: With trips departing most days from the Brunswick Heads this is a nice relaxing trip for the whole family to enjoy. You could even grab some fresh fish and chips when you’ve returned to eat on the banks of the beautiful river.
Crystal Castle: Children’s Playground, Giant Maze, Beautiful Gardens, Gift shop and a lovely Café overlooking the gorgeous grounds, Crystal Castle is a perfect family outing, you can even have an aura photo taken!
Skate Park: Showing off is like a right of passage and the skate park is the perfect place for your kids to show off their skills!
If you have your Byron Bay getaway booked these places are definitely worth a look and if you haven’t yet booked a Byron holiday….what are you waiting for?!
